Nike x Red Annouce Global Partnership
Singer Bono (R) and footballer Didier Drogba pose for photographers after a news conference to launch a partnership between Nike and (RED) in London, November 30, 2009. The two groups will unite to raise awareness of HIV/AIDS through the sale of red colored laces and other products in the run-up to the soccer World Cup.
The laces will drop December 1st (World AIDS Day) at Nike stores.

The Strokes Returning to Headline a Concert in 2010 with Jay Z and Pink
Jay-Z, whose appearance at Glastonbury last year irked Noel Gallagher but thrilled the Somerset masses, will headline next year’s Isle of Wight festival, it was announced today. The US rapper will appear on the Friday night, with fellow New Yorkers The Strokes doing the honours on Saturday. Other acts include Pink, Blondie, Orbital and Squeeze.

Great story in the LA Times about a previously unknown to Americans director by the name of Federico “Fede” Alvarez. He came to Hollywood two weeks ago as a total unknown. But in a matter of days after arriving in Los Angeles, the young Uruguayan filmmaker had the kind of amazing movie deal that would seem far-fetched, even by “Entourage” standards.

TO ALL OF MY FANS:
I would like to announce my plans to retire from the National Basketball Association. I always thought that when I left the game, it would be because I couldn’t help my team the way that I was accustomed to. However, that is not the case.
